The Google Drive Way...

An easy method to completing this portfolio would be by creating a series of folders in Google Drive where most of the work already exists.

Make a new folder in Drive by clicking the New button in the upper left, then selecting "New Folder." Make sure you give it a good name so you can easily find it--like Digital Portfolio. That makes sense.

Google Drive

Open up that folder you called "Digital Portfolio." Now add seven folders within that folder. Look to the image below for the names of each. You don't need them in any particular order.

Once you have all seven folders, add two files to each. These are called "Portfolio Artifacts" and are meant to show that you can do that topic. It's like saying, "Yeah, I can be an innovative designer. Check out this cool thing I made in IST 9. See? I can do it."

It is recommended that you make copies of the files and the move the copies in your digital portfolio. That way you have the original in your organized Google Drive.

WATCH OUT FOR FILE SHORTCUTS! When you make a copy of your file artifact, make sure you create and move a file. You can create a shortcut, but that shortcut isn't the real file. if you make shortcuts, make sure you set up the original file to be visible to anyone who needs to see your portfolio. It's best to make sure you make an actual copy-copy of your file, then move it to the right folder.
