3D Printing Samples

We've printed a lot over the years. More than what can really be shown on one page. You can find more of our projects on our Instagram page: @bowlearningcommons.

iPod shuffle and aux cord in a 3D printed box

A box, perfectly size for an iPod Shuffle.

3D printed Buddha bust

A Buddha bust that someone wanted as part of her display for her World's Fair project. I was concerned the nose wouldn't print, but it did.

Lego figure being swarmed by 3D printed Lego Demidog figures

Some Lego Demidogs (from Stranger Things). Owen L. designed this in Inventor, finding precise measurements to fit the Lego system. He needed to print these using the more sophisticated printer in the engineering lab.

3D printed thumb ring with extensions on either side, being used to open up a book

A book holder. It helps hold books open. It may be to be a bit of a strain after a while, but it is a very clever idea!

3D printed in black and sprayed with glitter

Here's Mr. Dixon's first design. He downloaded a hand from Thingiverse, imported it into Tinkercad and added some circles. It was printed in black and sprayed with glitter to give it some shine.

3D printed ukulele

Here's a 3D printed ukulele. It worked! We printed two of these. Josh G. was suppose to teach Mr. Dixon how to play, but he graduated before the lessons got very far.

3D Printer progress screen showing over twenty seven hours remaining to print the ukulele body parts

The ukulele took over 60 hours of print time. That's a long time. We had to print it out in pieces and then assemble it. But it came out great.
